Peutinger map routes and other itineraries, displayed over Barrington Atlas bases

This collection of data is distributed online as part of:

Richard J.A. Talbert, Rome's World: The Peutinger Map Reconsidered (Cambridge University Press, 2010).

In order to view these maps, you must download the files listed to the right, uncompress them in a single directory on your computer and install the free ESRI ArcReader software application (not available for Macintosh). Start ArcReader and navigate to the folder where you uncompressed the files you downloaded and open the "Published-TPeutGIS-new.pmf" file to view the maps.
